The American airline Alaska Airlines did on September 18th 2024 acquire Hawaiian Airlines. The airline will be merged into the operating company named Alaska Airlines, but will continue using both Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines brands.
Hawaiian Airlines will change all airline flight numbers to HA800-1299 effective October 26th 2025, in preparation for the change from the using the Hawaiian Airlines code HA to the Alaska Airlines code AS effective April 22th 2026.
The route between Rarotonga International Airport to Honolulu Daniel K Inouye International Airport will continue to be operated by Hawaiian Airlines with their Airbus A321neoLR with place for 16 passengers in Premium Class, 45 passengers in Extra Comfort Premium Economy Class and 128 passengers in Economy Class.
